Kiyokawa The Full Collection (So far...)

Founded by David Troiano, Kiyokawa is Japan’s first true farm-to-bottle distillery.

Working alongside agricultural scientists, the distillery has developed its own unique strain of organic barley, grown by local farmers in the mountain fields surrounding the distillery. 

Every stage of production is guided by an uncompromising approach to quality. From the barley in the fields to the whisky in the bottle, Kiyokawa refuses to cut corners, believing that exceptional whisky begins long before distillation.

Thus far, the distillery has released three single cask, single malt whiskies - The Cask, The Cask Marsala Edition and, most recently, The Kiyokawa Tsuchi - a whisky that pays homage to the where the barley grows.

The Cask

The Cask is a single cask bottling made entirely on site using 100% home-grown barley, farmed just outside the distillery.

Kiyokawa bottled a 3 Year Old single malt that had been maturing in an ex-Pedro Ximenez cask. The cask has imparted a mouthwatering array of notes on to the smooth, creamy spirit.

The Cask Marsala Edition

A dekantā anniversary collector's edition — the 11th cask ever filled at Kiyokawa Distillery, Cask #ML11, matured entirely in an ex-Marsala fortified-wine cask. Released to mark our 11th year sourcing Japanese whisky, and the first Japanese single malt matured entirely in ex-Marsala wood.

54% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Only 361 bottles produced.

Kiyokawa Tsuchi

dekantā is delighted to present the Kiyokawa Tsuchi. A limited single cask release of just 290 bottles from the Kiyokawa Distillery. Tsuchi is a celebration of its place of origin - the earth where the barley grows.

Matured in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry cask and bottled at Cask Strength, this whisky delivers an unforgettable tasting experience while paying homage to Kiyokawa's deep connection to the land and earth through its thoughtfully crafted design.
