Yamazakura Asaka “The Tree in the Forest” 2023

The Yamazakura range was typically made up of world blended whiskies that became popular just after the Japanese whisky boom. However, with the building on the exciting Asaka Distillery, the range now also includes Japanese single malts and Japanese blended whiskies, and thus far they have been a joy to behold. 

This Asaka Distillery single malt, titled The Tree in the Forest, is a refreshing, mouth-watering expression that brings gentle citrus, subtle floral tones and freshly cut grass on the nose, before the palate brings pear drops, lavender honey and candied lemon zest. The finish is long, crisp and clean, leaving subtle hibiscus lingering for some time. 

Exclusively bottled for Shinanoya, this single malt is incredibly difficult to find outside of Japan, but we’ve secured limited quantities of stock so that you can get your hands on this fine Japanese whisky. Don’t miss out.
