Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made by blending a little ume (Japanese apricot) with Shochu and sugar. It is notable for being unusually sweet and sour for alcohol; this taste comes from the citric acid in the ume fruit. We haven’t met anyone who actually dislikes this drink – quite a feat.
