Description
Following on from Nikka’s bombshell that they would be discontinuing their Taketsuru age-statement range of whiskies, the drinks giant announced that they would be releasing a limited number of bottles of a new Taketsuru Pure Malt NAS expression. This exciting new whisky will replace the previous NAS Taketsuru Pure Malt.
Made with a larger portion of malt from Nikka’s Yoichi distillery than they previous version, this new Taketsuru Pure Malt makes for a smokier, heavier and fuller whisky. Given the success of other whiskies in the Taketsuru range, we expect this one to be popular with fans and critics alike, and with only 264,000 bottles released, it might not last long.
