A stunning Karuizawa 50 Year Old created by La Maison Du Whisky created to celebrate the bottlers 50th anniversary. Everyone knows just how rare and sought after Karuizawa whisky is today, but it’s not often a 50 Year Old comes along, making this one of the rarest Japanese whiskies of all time. It was created by vatting two of the last few remaining Karuizawa casks, on ex-sherry and one ex-bourbon, to create a series of just 60 bottles. They come in an elegant leather box that doubles as a display case and as if that wasn’t enough, La Maison weren’t content with this being an art installation that would be placed on your sideboard never to be opened, and so they included two small samples of the liquid as well, so that you can get a taste of legendary Karuizawa whisky without opening the centerpiece bottle.
A true masterpiece in whisky and design that is sure to go down in history as one of the most elegant Karuizawa releases of all time.
