Karuizawa is the gold standard of rare Japanese whisky. The distillery closed its doors in 2011, although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade. This Karuizawa 12 Year Old is quite interesting, as it is a distillery bottling, and distillery bottlings are very rare these days. It brings an elegant range of notes to your nose and palate, should you decide to open it, and really is an iconic piece of Japanese whisky history.
