Karuizawa is the gold standard for rare Japanese whisky. Although the distillery closed its doors in 2011, it had not produced whisky for over a decade. This Karuizawa was specially bottled for Hanshin Tigers in 2003 for winning the central league. Even without a box, this is still a very rare commodity, which is, like all other Karuizawa bottles, bound to become more valuable as time passes.
*This particular bottling was produced prior to the introduction of Japanese whisky labeling standards in February 2021.*
