The Karuizawa Distillery was established in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama – an active volcano. The area is a popular mountain resort and the distillery is the highest in Japan at 850m above sea level. Everything from Karuizawa is really good. This particular rare bottle from Karuizawa was distilled in 2000 and matured in cask no 166 before being bottled in 2013. It was bottled in Japan exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. This is a rare whisky with beautiful label and original box. It is another legendary whisky from the legendary Karuizawa Distillery!
