Renowned Fushimi restaurant, Bar Silver Moon, took part in the unforgettable very first edition of the whisky series “Kyoto Bartender’s Batch,” wherein Nagahama Distillery and skilled Kyoto bartenders collaborate to craft the perfect whisky. A unique blend has been developed in honor of the twentieth anniversary.
Yusuke Yaku, the chief blender of Nagahama Distillery, went to Bar Silver Moon with owner Koki Kitabata to try various combinations before settling on an a recipe. An exceptionally rich flavor derived from two varieties of Nagahama sherry cask unblended sake. The distinctive blend of raw sake, aged for more than 20 years, serves as an accent.
