Mastaka Taketsuru, Nikka’s founder and the man known as the “Father of Japanese Whisky,” married Jessie Roberta “Rita” Cowan, a Scottish woman who he met when he was studying chemistry and whisky production in Scotland. Their love story is a famous one, even inspiring the creation of a Japanese drama series. In honor of Rita, this Nikka Brandy X.O White Bottle was created and released from the Yoichi Distillery.
