Karuizawa is the gold standard of rare Japanese whisky. The distillery closed its doors in 2011, although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade. This set includes two bottles from the excellent “Honor Sumo” series, one from 1981 and the other from 1983. Both were matured in sherry butts and released exclusively for the Taiwanese market, with just 340 of each produced. As with most Karuizawas, these bottles are very rare and full of incredible liquid.
