You’ve heard about Ichiro Akuto, right? If you haven’t, it’s about time you did! He is a rockstar of the Japanese whisky world, and his family have been in the alcoholic beverage making industry since the 1600s. Ichiro’s father ran the Hanyu distillery and experimented with whisky making until his unfortunate bankruptcy. Ichiro then founded his own distillery, named Chichibu, located in Saitama, just outside of Tokyo.
This bottle of Ichiro’s Malt Aged 9 Years from Hanyu distillery is bottled at 62% ABV. Distilled in 2000 and aged in cask #8779 before being bottled in 2009. Comes with a box, this one is perfect for your shelves!
