Akkeshi Distillery is owned by the grocery company, Kenten Ltd. Along with Nikka’s Yoichi Distillery, Kenten’s Akkeshi will be the second Hokkaido whisky producer located in Akkeshi town. And this particular bottling is their first whisky release named Akkeshi New Born. NHK in Japan reports that 10,000 bottles of Akkeshi New Born were released, each holding 200ml. The expression will be reaching stores in Sapporo and Tokyo on the 27th of February and is expected to go far.
