This excellent sake has quite an interesting story behind it! It is named Yashio, meaning eight tides. The 'eight tides' comes from a Shinto priest, who took care of a Shinto shrine nearby when the company was founded. In a prayer, often recited at the shrine, it is mentioned that one has to cross eight whirling tides on a long sea voyage. One needs quite a lot of energy to do that, and as the founder hoped very much to make an energetic company, he named it 'Yashio', in reference to the said tides. Now available for the first time internationally, milled to a whopping 72%, this is as delicate as sake will ever get. If you like your sake hot, then this is just the sake you are looking for!
