But now that the Asaka Distillery is being expanded, the lineup also features Japanese blended whiskies and single malts, both of which have proven to be quite enjoyable thus far. This Asaka Distillery single malt, titled Yamazakura Asaka "The Tree in the Forest" 2023, is a refreshing, mouth-watering expression that brings gentle citrus, subtle floral tones and freshly cut grass on the nose, before the palate brings pear drops, lavender honey and candied lemon zest. The finish is long, crisp and clean, leaving subtle hibiscus lingering for some time. Exclusively bottled for Shinanoya, this single malt is incredibly difficult to find outside of Japan, but we've secured limited quantities of stock so that you can get your hands on this fine Japanese whisky.
