This small batch release, by Cadenheads Highland Park, was named 'Best Spirit in the World' by USA whisky expert, Paul Pacult, in his 2005 Spirit Journal 100 listing of the world's best 100 distilled spirits. Highland Park's award winning quality has its roots in the whisky's Orkney home and the dedication of the people who craft it. Only 444 bottles are in existence, and this is a bit of gem for those of us who like a big tasting winter whisky, with no heavy peat or smoke. Allow it to open a little to reveal a whole range of flavours.
