Dried fruit and plum on the nose. The palate runs to sandalwood, baking spice and dried fig, and the finish is long, with cinnamon and Mizunara oak spice carrying through.

Malt whisky from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries blended with grain whisky from Chita. Every component is matured at least thirty years.

Both are Suntory blends from the same three distilleries, but Hibiki 30 draws only on stock aged thirty years and over, giving a deeper oak influence and a longer finish. Hibiki 30 is also long discontinued, while Hibiki 21 remains in the core range.
