This Saburomaru New Born Limited Edition was created ta the Saburomaru Distillery. Owned by Wakatsuru, it is the only distillery in the Hokuriku region of Japan. Like several Japanese distilleries, they produce sake in winter and whisky in summer so their expressions are highly limited. This limited edition whisky was produced in 2017 and matured in bourbon barrels before bottling in 2019. Only 800 bottles were produced and they provide the rare opportunity to get a taste of the delicate, smooth spirit from this relatively unknown, but up and coming, distillery.
