The company founded in the small town of Yoichi, Hoikkaido, by Masataka Taketsuru, is now Japan's leading maker of whisky. Despite this, it still adheres to the traditions of its founder. The Yoichi whisky, named after the distillery, is still its most admired product, having won several awards at international competitions. This particular single cask whisky was distilled in 1989 for the Whisky Live's 10th Anniversary Celebration in Japan and London. This is a rare bottling!
