This Japanese single malt whisky from the excellent Nagahama distillery is a peated expression that comes in at 59% ABV. The liquid is clear as it has not been cask matured at all, but despite this it manages to be smooth, fruity and of course smoky - peated to around 20ppm. It's an intriguing and unique take on single malt that is well worth trying.
