The area is a popular mountain resort and the distillery is the highest in Japan at 850m above sea level. Everything from Karuizawa is really good. This particular bottle is a vintage from the remaining stock of the legendary closed Karuizawa distillery. It was distilled in 1991and was aged for 21 years. It is presented in an original box. We can’t recommend this enough!
