Prepare your senses for the Matsui The Tottori 25 years old pure malt blended whisky. This Matsui whisky, which has been matured for almost 25 years and bottled at a strength of 43%, was made at the Kurayoshi distillery using carefully chosen unblended sake. Expertly blendedwith naturally occurring, deep-well water that is steady and of high quality, purified underground in the Tottori/Daisen mountains. Spring water that has been specially selected and is a gift from the mother nature and Tottori's breathtaking natural beauty. The flavor of this expression is deep and complex, evoking the years of maturing in barrels. Japanese local whisky from Tottori has a deep, balanced, and subtle flavor that clings on the palate. A rich, beautiful aftertaste and a deepaged scent will overwhelm you as soon as you raise the glass to your lips. Savor the flavorto your heart's delightthat Matsui Sake Brewery has developed via long-term maturing. Established in 1910, the Kurayoshi Distillery is part of the Matsui Shuzo brewery, producing sake and shochu. It is situated in the Tottori Prefecture at the base of Mount Daisen. It contains excellent water, which is necessary to produce whisky. Story has it that the word "good living" is where Kurayoshi got its start, however the whisky ages more quickly here than it does back home due to the strong temperature variations on the Sea of Japan side. The claim that whisky is manufactured naturally is not an overstatement. The newest distillery, Kurayoshi Distillery, is regarded as the leading example of Japan's aqua vitae whisky.
