This Mars Fukouka Limited Edition is one of the latest releases from the fairly new Tsunuki distillery. It was distilled in 2017 and laid to mature in a bourbon barrel for 3 years before bottling in 2020. The cask has had some profound effects on the liquid, bringing gentle oak, vanilla and sticky toffee to the crisp, slightly floral Tsunuki spirit. It's a superb release from one of Japan's newest distilleries and one that is highly limited in numbers.
