A bold new chapter in Japanese whisky begins with KUJU THE FIRST — a meticulously crafted single malt born from the pristine natural beauty of Aso Kuju National Park.

Distilled using only malted barley at a single distillery and aged for over three years, KUJU THE FIRST is primarily matured in bourbon barrels, with the addition of carefully selected refill and sherry casks to enhance depth and complexity. Bottled at cask strength with no added water, it captures the raw, unfiltered essence of the spirit.

In the glass, its pale, deep golden hue reflects its purity and strength. The aroma is vibrant and layered — blue fruits, ripe pears, floral notes, citrus, and black tea mingle with hints of fresh-cut grass and new wood. On the palate, rich malt sweetness unfolds into juicy fruit, ripe kiwi, bitter lemon peel, and a touch of fragrant meringue pie.

The finish is long, elegant, and balanced with a subtle acidity and a silky, slightly oily texture that lingers, deepening the whisky’s complexity with every sip.

KUJU THE FIRST is more than a whisky — it's an invitation to experience the spirit of the mountains.
