The Karuizawa Distillery was established in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama – an active volcano. The area is a popular mountain resort and the distillery is the highest in Japan at 850m above sea level. Everything from Karuizawa is really good. This particular Karuizawa is a Ghost Series 4 Decades. It was distilled between 1960 and 2000 and was bottled last in 2014 in a 70cl bottle. This whisky is as superb as everything else from Karuizawa! A rare collector’s item which will only become rarer as time passes. Grab it while it’s still here!
