The Karuizawa distillery was opened in 1955 in Miyota, near Mt. Asama – an active volcano. This bottle is from the now legendary Karuizawa distillery, which has been closed for many years. The Karuizawa Cask Strength 1999-2000 Vintage has an exceptional view of Mount Fuji on its label. The quality of the contents is, of course, what we have come to expect from Karuizawa.
