Karuizawa is the gold standard of rare Japanese whisky, the distillery closed its doors in 2011 although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade then. The 1972 vintage is a slightly younger follow-up, of the oldest of all Karuizawa's: the 1971 edition. 523 bottles were released. Expect this to become more valuable with time, as Karuizawa bottles tend to do that!
