This is a 1968 single malt from Karuizawa distillery, bottled in 2012 exclusively for Whisky Live Taipei. Karuizawa produced outstanding whisky, many of which have received international acclaim. Founded in 1955 and Japan's smallest whisky distillery; in 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Karuizawa is now a 'silent' distillery, it stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011. Only 168 bottles have ever been made of this Karuizawa release.
