Karuizawa is the gold standard of rare Japanese whisky. The distillery closed its doors in 2011, although it had not been producing whisky for over a decade. This particular Karuizawa bottle was distilled in 2000 and was matured in a Sherry Butt for at least 12 years before being bottled in 2013. It is an incredibly balanced whisky that delivers from start to finish and beyond.
