A relatively young company, Monde Shuzo was established in 1952 in the town of Isawa in Yamanashi prefecture, just west of Tokyo. It is mainly known for producing wine, Chinese spirits and vodka, although it also produces a small quantity of whisky each year. Their first whisky was distilled in 1967. This particular bottle is a 10 year old single malt whisky that comes with a box. *This particular bottling was produced prior to the introduction of Japanese whisky labeling standards in February 2021.*
