This 16 year-old Hanyu release was produced by an independent bottler in the United Kingdom. It was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2016 at 56.2 % cask strength, so expect the full, intense Hanyu experience! The Hanyu Distillery was located in a town with the same name. The company was founded by the Akuto family, who had been in brewing business since the 1600s. In the 1980s, the company began distilling whisky, but unfortunately, this failed to last, with the company closing down in 2000. Bottles from the distillery are, however, highly sought after.
