Introduced in 2023 as part of Hakushu's centenary celebration, this release honours the distillery’s legacy, pioneering spirit and its unwavering commitment to crafting unique, fresh expressions of Single Malt whisky from the foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake.

This special tribute brings together malt whisky aged in a selection of casks, including American oak, sherry, and lightly charred wood, each blessing the whisky with its own unique touch. The American oak imparts subtle vanilla and a creamy texture, while the sherry casks add a delicate sweetness and a rich fruitiness. The lightly charred casks bring a gentle smoky note, weaving into the whisky’s otherwise fresh and herbal profile.

The distillery’s pure, mountain-spring water plays a vital role in crafting the whisky’s smoothness and bright, natural flavours. Distilled in traditional pot stills, this limited edition captures the distillery’s signature balance of lightness and depth—offering notes of fresh herbs, floral hints, with just a touch of earthy peat.

Fresh green apple, pear, and herbal notes of mint and basil, with a delicate wisp of smoke.
