Today, we’re delighted to say we have a brand new Chichibu expression in store that is available for pre-order now. This whisky is set to bring new life to a series that many thought was long gone and the bottles are likely to sell out fast, so don’t miss out! Chichibu The Peated was an annual release between 2012 and 2018, however we haven’t seen a new bottling since then. That is, until now! For this new 2022 bottling, the Master Distillers at the world famous Chichibu Distillery dried their malt by burning peat under the kiln, resulting in generous smoky tones throughout. It brings light peat, gentle custard, aromas of black tea and vanilla on the nose, before the palate arrives with building peat smoke, warm fruits and a hint of salt. The finish is long and moreish, with bitter chocolate and more peaty aromas mingling for some time and leaving you excited for your next sip. This exciting new single malt from one of Japan’s very best distilleries is set to revitalize an outstanding series that many thought had gone for good, and as such, it’s set to be a highly sought after and hugely collectable release. With only 11,000 bottles produced, and limited numbers of those available online, it’s worth acting fast if you want to get your hands on a bottle of this exceptional creation.
