Launching "Whiskeypedia", the highly praised whisky specialty program from BS Fuji, which has finally presented its first bottle in collaboration with Japanese whisky, the Akkeshi x Whiskeypedia Single Malt Japanese Whisky. The world is garnering interest in the first remarkable partnership with Akkeshi Distillery. Made from Hokkaido barley and aged in Hokkaido Quercus oak barrels, its main malt is entirely Hokkaido whisky. There was also a significant amount of whisky matured in sherry barrels along with aged whisky in bourbon, red wine, and Hokkaido Quercus oak barrels. This is bottled at a strength of 53%. The aromas of salted candy, honey, karinto, mitarashi dango, and back incense are all present in this release. The palate is characterized by ripe citrusy sourness, sweetness close to Ramune, and a finish that is spicy reminiscent of ginger with a bitter sweet taste of cocoa. Savor the unique harmony between peat and sweetness found in Akkeshi whisky.
