This new release from the up and coming Akkeshi distillery is a delicious blended whisky created using malt whisky created and matured on Hokkaido, blended together with imported grain whisky that was also matured on Hokkaido. As such, it is classed as a world blend and it brings a delicious array of fruity and woody notes that work perfectly in tandem. We're starting to see more and more wonderful world blends coming out of Japan and this one is yet another example of that.
