The owner's of the Akashi distillery have been making exceptional sake for over 200 years and the effects that the finishing period has had on the whisky are profound. Sweet vanilla and citrus fruits mingle with gentle sea salt, white grapes and just a hint of peat smoke. On the palate, more fruitiness arrives and combines with subtle spices and a little more peat smoke. The finish holds for some time.
