This Akashi single malt was distilled in Eigashima and matured in a bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a beer cask for finishing. The nose brings sweet notes of citrus fruits and vanilla that are backed up by sea salt, gentle malt and light smoky notes. The palate arrives with more malt, soft oak and a range of spices that dance in tandem. It's a beautiful and limited expression that is worth getting your hands on while you can.
