
A 5 Year Old single malt release from Akashi that was created at the outstanding Eigashima Distillery before being matured for 5 years and then bottled. The maturation process of this whisky was split into two, with it spending its first 3 years in a hogshead cask before being transferred to an Anejo Tequila barrel for its final 2 years. The results are an intriguing and complex whisky that is bursting with a range of fruity notes. A really fine creation.
