Ontake The First Edition 2025 Mizunara
A rare Japanese single malt matured entirely in mizunara oak casks from start to finish. Rich, aromatic and unmistakably Japanese, it delivers layers of sandalwood, incense, coconut and delicate spice.
Full-term mizunara maturation remains one of the most challenging and costly approaches in whisky making, making this one of Ontake's most ambitious releases to date.

Drawn from a single first-fill ex-Solera Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at natural cask strength, No.18 offers a pure, unadulterated taste of Ontake whisky.
Limited to just 559 bottles worldwide, this extraordinary release was awarded the TWSC 2026 Japan Grand Prix, Best Category Award and Superior Gold Medal. Powerful, yet remarkably elegant, it is truly a purist’s dram.
