The Suntory Royal blended range was released in 1960 and was the final creation of Shinjiro Torii, the founder of the company. As the oldest whisky making company in Japan, Suntory'sorigins stretch back to a small shop, started in 1899, which specialized in selling imported wines. Today, it is the largest and most recognizable whisky maker in Japan.
