This Ki No Tou gin from the amazing Kyoto distillery is a specially made "tom gin" that was released for the Tokyo International Bar Show. Old Tom gin dates back to the 18th century when they added sugar to the spirit to make it sweeter. The Kyoto distillery achieved this delicious version by sweetening their dry gin with kokutou (black sugar) sourced from the Okinawan island of Yonaguni.
