KARADA – BODY

The Whisky Of Legends

Known as the legendary distillery, Karuizawa shut down back in 2000, when demand for whisky was plummeting in Japan. No one knew then of the huge Japanese whisky boom on the horizon. Karuizawa whisky has been in highest demand during this boom, with its single cask bottlings selling for some of the largest price tags the global whisky world has ever seen. Karuizawa is synonymous with quality, luxury, and rarity. As the most prized bottles in any collection, who would want to miss out on this one?

Inspired Design

You’ve never seen a collection like this before, this set is one of the most visually impressive designs in the world today. Each of the four beautiful bottles is accompanied by rope elegantly hand tied in true Shibari fashion. The combination of the unique Karuizawa bottles with the artistic knot pattern results in a masterpiece that deserves the utmost appreciation.

Japan is a country steeped in tradition, and colours hold strong meaning. Red, White, Black and Blue are mentioned in the earliest written history of Japan, and so are regarded as the four oldest colours in the Japanese language.

These four colours resonate significantly in the context of the Shibari art form – Red representing Passion and Authority; Blue representing Stability; White representing Purity and Black representing Dignity – and as such the Shibari Collection includes bottles with intricate rope designs in each of Japan’s earliest shades.
