Shizuoka Distillery usually uses barley from Shizuoka Prefecture and extremely rare barley from Japan, however for this one they used 100% foreign barley. This has resulted in a smooth and moreish expression that has subtle hints of peat smoke, a key component of the foreign barley, that marry perfectly with subtle fruits, citrus and charred oak.
