Founded in 1885, Lumiere is one of Japan’s oldest wineries. With over 130 years of experience, the winery has received many accolades and awards throughout the years, successfully cultivated many grape varieties, and become synonymous with high quality Japanese wine. In this Hikari vintage flavours of bitter chocolate and creamy vanilla are apparent through the skillful barrel-aging. Balanced tannins and acidity come through, a top a palate of dark fruit and floral notes of rose and violet. The finish is long, fruity, and subtly acidic.
