Karuizawa is something of a legend among fans of Japanese whisky, with bottles from the now defunct distillery fetching a fortune on the secondary market. This particular set of bottles features a Geisha on its label.
This set includes a Karuizawa 30 year old aged in a Sherry Cask and a Karuizawa 29 year old matured in a Bourbon cask. Each of the bottles is presented with an original box.
These whiskies are as superb as everything else from Karuizawa. A rare collector's item which will only become rarer as time passes.

There is no shortage of thawing snow at Mt Asama and due to this the chilly climate provided an excellent location for whiskey making. In 1976 therefore, the first 100% domestic malt whiskey saw the light of day at Kuruizawa. The whiskey was stored in small barrels, the distillery furthermore used small pots for distillation. This very small distillery was noted for producing whiskey of the finest quality.
