Behold the Kanosuke 2018 to 2024 Richard Cask Limited, the single malt Japanese whisky featured in the Chichibu Whiskey Matsuri 2024 Festival. Distilled in December 2018 at the Kanosuke Distillery and bottle in February 2024 at Kagoshima, Japan, at a 59% strength. Recharred cask was used to produce this unpeated, non-chill filtered release.

The Executive Committee of the Chichibu Whiskey Festival meticulously prepared, curated, and bottled this limited edition bottle in celebration of the Chichibu Whiskey Festival.
Situated in Hioki, Kagoshima prefecture, and overlooking the 47km-long Fukiage Hama, Komasa Jyozo's Kanosuke Distillery, the nation's only beachfront whisky distillery. “Mellow Land, Mellow Whisky” is a concept they have developed.
The first distillate from the Kanosuke Distillery was placed in barrels in February 2018, having obtained their license for distillation in November 2017. The first single malt whisky they produced was launched in June 2021. One of Japan's fastest-growing post-Chichibu craft whisky producers is Kanosuke Distillery. Using three pot stills gives Kanosuke more variation in their distillate than other distilleries of this size, which only have two.
