You’ve heard about Ichiro Akuto, right? If you haven’t, it’s about time you did! He is a rockstar of the Japanese whisky world, and his family have been in the alcoholic beverage making industry since the 1600s. Ichiro’s father ran the Hanyu distillery and began experimenting with whisky making until his unfortunate bankruptcy. Ichiro then founded his own distillery, named Chichibu, located in Saitama, just outside of Tokyo. This particular Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu single malt was distilled in 2010 and released in 2015 with only 262 bottles available.
