Chichibu distillery is a small distillery with only nine full-time employees, it is owned by Venture whisky which was founded in 2004 in Chichibu city, Saitama just outside of Tokyo, hence its name. After founding preparing for operations took a while, the distillery itself, which specializes in single malt whisky and became operational in 200 stands on a small hill in the outskirts of Chichibu city, a city of medium size with a population of about 70.000: It is pretty much at a boundaries of prefectures with Nagano, Yamanashi and Gunma all being close by.
