Prepare your senses for the harmony that the unblended spirits from two unique distilleries, the Hinomaru Whisky The 1st Barrels, will create. The malt whisky was initially made at the Naka City's Nukata Distillery and later at the Ishioka City'sYasato Distillery. Produced using the combination of grain and malt whiskies, bottled at a 48% strength, and was manufactured by at Kiuchi Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. "The 1st Barrels" Hinomaru whisky was once given back as a return gift for hometown tax donations made in Ishioka City and Naka City in Ibaraki Prefecture. Experience the scent and flavor of this perfectly balanced unblended whisky, which was created by two distinct distilleries. In the Yasato area of Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, at the eastern base of Mount Tsukuba, is home to the Yasato Distillery. Yasato is a whisky distillery all the way, while Nukada is a brewery first and a distillery last. Distillation started in the spring of 2020 at the Yasato Distillery and in February 2016 at the Nukada Distillery. Leading figure in Japanese craft beer, Kiuchi Shuzo, is the one who manages both. The abundance of high-quality spring water from Mount Tsukuba and the surrounding climate are the sources of Kiuchi Brewery's whiskies.
