Suntory’s origins stretch back to a small shop, started in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii, which specialized in selling imported wines. During this period, the company was known as Kotobukiya. In 1964, Kotobukiya changed its name to Suntory, and the Suntory Whisky “Imperial” was released to commemorate this event. Featuring a luxury cut crystal decanter, this is a wonderful piece of Japanese whisky history.
